*Carpets Abure, others for abandoning kidnapped governorship candidate

By Toby Chuks

Again, the founder/CEO of the popular mass movement group in Anambra State known as Oga Ndi Oga Foundation High Chief Godwin Agbasimelo has raised more reasons why former governor of Anambra State and Presidential candidate of Labour Party in 2023 general elections, Mr Peter Obi is still holding the ace as the outstanding choice for Nigeria’s top leadership seat at Aso Rock village in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Speaking to journalists at Ezinifite in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State when former Governor Obi paid a condolence visit to the family of late Emmanuel Agbasimelo who was the father of the kidnapped Labour Party governorship candidate in 2021 governorship election in Anambra State Mr Obiora Agbasimelo, the Oga Ndi Oga boss explained that Peter Obi remains the best choice for President of Nigeria because he doesn’t just have the interest of the people but also understands the burden of people and knows how to solve them.

Hear him “I have always said it and I will continue to say it that Peter Obi is the best choice for President as far as Nigeria is concerned because he possess the quality of a good leader we need to address the challenges facing Nigeria. What I am saying is that he has the interest of people at heart and more interesting is that he is available to make sacrifice for the people. Today he has sacrificed time beating his tight schedules to visit Ezinifite because he has the interest of Agbasimelo family. I am sure his kind of person will certainly address the challenges facing Nigeria if given the mandate to be President”

He described the condolence visit to the family of late Emmanuel Agbasimelo by the 2023 Presidential candidate of Labour Party as a mark of love to the people noting that his visit to condole and sympathize with the family of the kidnapped governorship candidate of Labour Party at a time when the leadership of Labour Party at the national level abandoned a governorship candidate of the Party who is in captivity of kidnappers was hugely appreciated by the family in particular and Oga Ndi Oga foundation in general.

He carpeted the national Chairman of Labour Party Chief Julius Abure along with Clement Ojuwwu and all members of the national executive of Labour Party for abandoning a governorship candidate of the Party who was kidnapped at the peak of election campaign during the last governorship election in Anambra State in 2021.

While repeatedly appreciating the visit of ex Governor Obi he added “I am sure that you can recall that Mr Obiora Agbasimelo as the governorship candidate of Labour Party was kidnapped while on campaign for the 2021 governorship election in Anambra State and still missing till today, but the national leadership of Labour Party under Julius Abure and his executive abandoned him completely and did nothing over it till today. Not even paying a visit to Obiora family. Is that how to do politics. That’s very unfair attitude on the side of Abure and his executive. I am sure that Anambra would have been Abure’s second home if Obiora had won the election”
