*Says zoning, rotation should be upheld at all cost

Frontline governorship aspirant for 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, Chief George Moghalu has expressed optimism that four years is enough for a sitting governor who knows his job to fix Anambra State.
Speaking in response to the impression and fear of possible elongation of governorship tenure against the interest of zoning and rotation of power by politicians from Anambra South Senatorial District, Moghalu said that four years is enough for him to do whatever he prepared to do as governor if elected.
The former Managing Director of Nigeria Inland Waterways (NIWA) dismissed the impression and fear that when elected as governor he will go for eight years thereby elongating the tenure of Anambra South to twelve years against the chances of Anambra Central from taking the governorship seat after eight years under Anambra South, saying that he will not be a party to destroying zoning and rotation of power which he contributed in propagating and making it to be accepted in place in the State.
He added “for years is enough for me to fix Anambra State. Whatever you couldn’t achieve in four years and you can’t achieve it in eight years, that’s just the truth. So I will leave the stage after four years if I am elected as governor in 2025. I contributed in making sure that zoning and rotation of power take place in Anambra State and I won’t be a party to destroying a house I contributed in building. We have to do everything possible to uphold the issue of zoning and rotation of power in Anambra State”
The ex NIWA boss and former National Auditor of All Progressive Congress (APC) who is aspiring to be governor under Labour Party, went further to assure that he will bring his vast experience in civil service, business and of course experience in political system to bear to address the challenges facing Anambra State having worked as Permanent Secretary in Abia State and has been actively involved in the political system of things at the national level since the return of democracy in 1999.
He listed security, road infrastructure, enhanced quality education, good health care services, giving unemployment, poverty and hunger a good fight as his priority when elected adding “the truth is that nothing is working in Anambra State, look at the security situation, kidnapping has remained unabated, the roads are nothing to write home about, the level of unemployment and poverty remain high as ever, so a lot has to be done and I want to assure Ndi Anambra that I will get the job done because I know what to do”
