Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Niger Delta activist and former militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, widely recognized as Tompolo, as he celebrates his 54th birthday on April 12.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori praised Tompolo as a notable figure from the Niger Delta who has significantly contributed to the peace, stability, and development of both the region and the country.

The Governor commended Tompolo for his leadership as Chairman of Tantita Security Services, highlighting his crucial role in combating oil theft in the Niger Delta, which has led to increased oil production and boosted national revenue.

He further noted that both the Niger Delta state governments and the Federal Government recognize and value Tompolo’s steadfast commitment to fostering peace and security in the area.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I extend my sincere congratulations to a true son of the Niger Delta, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, on his 54th birthday.

“Tompolo has been instrumental in the advancement of the oil-rich Niger Delta and has consistently worked alongside regional and federal authorities to promote peace and development.

“As he commemorates this special day, we pray that God grants him continued good health, wisdom, and the strength to further his service to our nation and humanity,” the Governor stated.
