Chiggy Nsofor Foundation (CNF), on Friday celebrated the graduation of 19 graduates of the organisation’s Cohort 2 of the Skill Scale-Up Project, in Kurudu area Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Delivered an inspiring speech at the graduation ceremony, Chiggy Nsofor, Founder and CEO of CNF, hailed the graduates as living proof of transformation through skill acquisition and personal growth.

The event marked the successful completion of training in web development, photography, videography, UI/UX design, data analysis, Entrepreneurship and Virtual Assistance, alongside compulsory modules in personal development and financial literacy.
Nsofor expressed profound gratitude to God, family, parents, and the CNF team
for their unwavering dedication that powered the program.

She praised the facilitators for investing four months to mentor the participants and highlighted the graduates’ dedication, noting how some touched a laptop or camera for the first time yet emerged confident and capable despite challenges like pressure and doubt.
Nsofor urged the Cohort 2 graduates to prioritize character over skills alone, emphasizing humility, discipline, and integrity as keys to sustained success in a talent-saturated world. Key guidance included never stopping learning, serving without immediate payment to build experience and networks, and committing to positive impact while staying connected to faith for greater opportunities.

“Not everything is about money.
Sometimes the experience, the relationships, and the trust you build will take you farther than any immediate reward” she said.
The Skill Scale-Up Project, part of CNF’s four pillars—humanitarian aid, healthcare, education, and skill acquisition—aligns with the foundation’s 2024 mission to empower vulnerable Nigerians for better lives through capacity building and empathy-driven initiatives.
Nsofor concluded by affirming that love fueled the program and called on graduates to spread it as they step into the world, declaring boldly: “I have capacity!”

In a heartfelt speech delivered on behalf of his peers, Ikechukwu Praise Ikechukwu expressed profound appreciation for the transformative experience provided by the Chiggy Nsofor Foundation (CNF) Skill Scale-Up Cohort 2.
The program, dedicated to equipping young Nigerians with vital computer and advanced technology skills, has significantly empowered participants to thrive in today’s fast-paced digital world.

Speaking to a gathering of guests and colleagues, Ikechukwu described the training as expository, educative, and life-changing, emphasizing its role in opening doors to front-end web development and other specialized computer applications.
He hailed the initiative as a milestone achievement that lays a strong foundation for continuous learning, improvement, and professional advancement.

Highlighting a personal learning moment, he recalled advice from their web development tutor, Mr. Daniel Mbah, who stressed that success is built on strong time management, attention to detail, good character, and reliability.
Ikechukwu pledged to uphold these principles and encouraged his colleagues to maintain high standards and keep excelling in their careers.
Ikechukwu praised CNF for granting the students an invaluable opportunity that promises lasting impact on their professional journeys and personal growth.

“This skill acquisition opportunity offered to us by CNF has indeed given us all the platform of getting into the world of Computer skill and even advanced Computer applications. This training really has enriched our young minds as well as equipping us so that we can relate with our contemporaries in this Fast moving age of Tech” he added.
Earlier, Esohe Okuomose, a Project Officer, delivered a welcome address at the graduation ceremony for Cohort 2 of the Skill Scale-Up Programme, celebrating participants’ dedication in acquiring practical skills to combat unemployment and poverty.
The event honoured trainees who completed 12 weeks of training, building on Cohort 1’s success where, five months post-graduation in July, eight secured employment, six launched businesses generating income, and three began mentoring community members.
Okuomose highlighted the programme’s role in fostering financial independence and leadership, noting the second cohort’s transformation through resilience and newfound competencies.
She urged graduates to view their certificates as tools for personal stories of advancement, amid broader Nigerian initiatives like Cloud10 Tech Hub’s ScaleUP and Chiggy Nsufor Foundation’s efforts targeting digital skills gaps among youth.
A video was played where the first Cohort of the Skill Scale-Up Project gave very insightful testimonies of how the knowledge gained from the programme has changed their lives.

Parents of the graduands took turns to applaud the management of CNF and the rare selflessness demonstrated by the founder, declaring that the life-changing programme is being run free of charge.
