Group mourns the exit of popular Islamic leader Sheikh Bauchi

Popular political presure group known as Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Grassroots Movement of Nigeria for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has joined other well meaning Nigerians and the Islamic community to mourn the exit of popular Islamic leader Sheikh Usman Dahiru Bauchi who died Thursday at the age of 101.

The OUK group in a Statement signed by the Convener and national leader Alhaji Muritala Mohammed alias ten ten and Secretary General Dr Ejike Nwangwu and made available to journalists, the group received the news of the death of the Islamic cleric and leader of Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood with shock, sadness and sense of lamentation.

According to the group as contained in the Statement Sheikh Bauchi’s loss at this point in time when his centugenarian wisdom and knowledge is needed most is a huge loss not only to his family, teeming followers but also to the nation and Islamic community worldwide.

The group added “We have lost a leader whose wisdom and knowledge is mostly needed at a time when the country is facing teething challenges of insecurity and economic hardship. We are therefore using this medium to condole with the Sheikh’s followers across the country and beyond for the irreparable loss”

While urging the survivors and his teeming followers to bear the loss with fortitude, the group harped on the need for his survivors and teeming followers to immortalise the late cleric by up holding his legacies of obedient to Almighty Allah, promoting peaceful coexistence and being kind to humanity.
