The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has charged corps members and staff to reflect the Easter virtues of sacrifice, renewal, hope, and love in their daily conduct, as the nation marks the Christian celebration.

In a heartfelt Easter message released on Wednesday, the DG emphasized that these values form the core of the NYSC’s mandate, urging members of the “NYSC family” to uphold national unity, selfless service, and mutual respect amid Nigeria’s diversity.

“Let us continue to stand firm in our commitment to national unity, selfless service, and mutual respect, drawing strength from our diversity,” the message stated. “Through our collective resolve and shared sense of purpose, we can further advance the cause of a more peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria.”

The DG invoked the Easter spirit to renew strength and deepen the corps’ service ethos, concluding with the iconic NYSC slogan: “Nigeria is ours; Nigeria we serve.” The message, signed by Caroline Embu, NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, arrives as corps members across the country’s 37 orientation camps participate in Easter activities amid ongoing national service postings.

This call aligns with NYSC’s role in fostering youth integration and skills development, especially in critical sectors like energy and infrastructure, where corps members often contribute to community development initiatives.
Happy Easter from NYSC!
