The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kaduna State Sector Command has unleashed a fierce crackdown on mixed loading, seizing multiple articulated vehicles caught carrying over 100 passengers alongside animals and goods during the Easter Special Patrol.

Led by Sector Commander CC Tijani Iliyasu, the operation followed direct orders from Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, who branded mixed loading a “ticking time bomb” turning trucks into deadly traps on Nigeria’s highways.

Osondu Ohaeri, the Deputy Corps Commander / Corps Public Education Officer, in a statement noted that in a crash, shifting cargo crushes occupants, panicked livestock causes chaos, and compromised stability leads to brake failure—skyrocketing fatal risks.
“This zero-tolerance enforcement shows our ironclad commitment to public safety,” the Corps Marshal declared.
Drivers and operators face arrest, prosecution, and heavy fines for ignoring warnings. He urged all road users to drive responsibly amid Easter’s traffic surge.
The FRSC vows relentless patrols, intelligence ops, and awareness drives to safeguard lives and property. Safety is everyone’s duty—comply or face the consequences.
