Senator Bomai Meets Stakeholders, Constituents For Peaceful Polls In Yobe South

Frontline All Progressives Party (APC) Senatorial candidate, Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai, had concluded tour of the 21 electoral wards of the four local government areas of the Yobe South Senatorial district where he met party elders and supporters ahead of the February elections.

Speaking with Daily Independent in Potiskum town, Senator Bomai said that during the tour he consulted leaders, supporters, party members and stakeholders on his candidature and agenda to lead the party to victory if voted again. “I preached the need for peaceful conduct, no hatred or uttering words that are capable of triggering violence”.

The Senator further revealed that in all the places he visited in the electoral wards, he gave out bags of rice, motorcycle, tricycle, sewing machines, money among other things.

In all the places toured by the lawmaker, he has informed them on the design of modalities for an hitch free elections for success of the APC at all levels..

Speaking further on the tour, Bomai added that “I look forward to having more votes for our party, the APC, this tour is just a formal notification that we are offering ourselves again to serve the party and the good people of Yobe South Senatorial district. I have deep appreciation for the massive support our people offer me all the time. So my going round is in part a consultation and a thank you for the support of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

“To my fellow contenders, I again extend hands of fellowship and brotherhood. Our theme is Light; we have no grudge; we are one big family; and in unity, we shall ride to victory this February,” Senator Bomai, said.

Commenting further, Abubakar Tamana, one of the legislative aide to the Senator said that Bomai’s performance in one tenure is superb “see how this gentleman has facilitated series of people oriented projects in his Senatorial district ranging from roads, drainages, employment of youths, empowerment of youths and women, ICT skills, distribution of fleet of cars, support to educational institutions among so many others too numerous to mention”.
