Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, has polled 191,361 to defeated the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the candidate of opposition People Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, in just concluded presidential election in Nasarawa State.
Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, got 172,922 votes became the second while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 147, 093 votes.
Announcing the results at INEC’S office in Lafia, Prof. Ishaya Tanko, Vice chancellor of University Jos the returning officer of Nasarawa State, said that the total valid votes was 540,566.
Prof Ishaya Tanko also said that the total registered votes in the state were 2,552,716.
He added that the total votes cast were 556, 937.
Prof. Tanko further noted that the total accredited voters were 562,464.
