Daily Independent Man, Njoku Re-elected NAJUC’s General Secretary

Mr Paschal Njoku, the Judiciary Correspondent of Daily Independent newspapers has been re-elected as the General Secretary of the National Association of Judiciary Correspondents Abuja.

Njoku was returned unopposed for another 3-year term
after the Association’s election, weekend.

Elected alongside Njoku, were Femi Kuku of AIT, as Welfare Secretary;
Basil Okafor of Core TV as Provost and Vivian Okejeme of Peoples Daily, who emerged Treasurer of the Association.

The position of Financial Secretary went to Augustine Okezie of Raypower, Tina Iria of TVC was re-elected as the Vice Chairman, while Mr
Kayode Lawal of Herald newspaper retained his position as Chairman of the Association.

The newly executive members will pilot the affairs of the Association in the next 3 years.

Speaking on behalf of the newly elected officials, Mr Kayode Lawal thanked members for finding them worthy to serve the Association for another 3 years, just as he assured that the new Exco will hard to take the Association to greater heights.

“I wish to convey to you all, our profound appreciation for your kind gestures in reposing in us, your confidence, trust and for investing your votes in the new leaders.

“We thank and appreciate you all as we promise to dilligently adhere to our promises and faithfully deliver on the mandate freely bestowed on us.

“While assuring that we will not let you down, we request that you continue to give maximum support to us and freely call us to order anytime we are on the wrong path.

“On behalf of the Exco, we sincerely thank you for sparing your precious time to come out enmasse to deliver the mandate on us” Mr Lawal stated.

Lawal also appreciated the Electoral Committee, led by Elder Andrew Orolua of Daily Times, for conducting a free, fair and credible election.

In a goodwill message, the Secretary General of NAJUC, Mr Paschal Njoku, promised to ensure that the objectives and aims of the Association are realized.

Njoku stated that as the administrative head of NAJUC, he will continue to ensure that members of the Association discharge their reportorial duties without fear or favour, ill will or affection. END.
