In a statement, Seun Ibukun-Oni, the Public Relations Officer of ACOE, noted that the constitution, an 18-page document comprising 34 articles, was the result of the dedicated efforts of the Constitution Drafting Committee, which was inaugurated on June 13, 2024. 1. **Nnamdi Okosieme** – Chairman
2. **Chidi Ugwu** – Member
3. **Queen Kunde** – Secretary
4. **Chux Ukwuatu** – Member
5. **Osby Isibor** – Member
After an exhaustive deliberation by members in attendance, the motion for the adoption of the constitution was moved by *Frederick Idehai* and seconded by *Emmanuel Onuh*.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of ACOE, Mr. Martins Odiete, commended the committee for their excellent and meticulous work in drafting the constitution. He expressed his appreciation for their commitment to creating a document that reflects the values, goals, and aspirations of the association.
Mr. Odiete assured all members that they would each receive a copy of the constitution, emphasizing its importance as a guiding document for the association’s activities.
Members in attendance were visibly elated at this significant development, recognizing it as a historic moment that solidifies ACOE’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and unity within its ranks.
The adoption of the constitution reinforces ACOE’s position as a leading body of online editors in Nigeria and provides a solid foundation for its continued growth and impact in the media landscape.
