The Abuja Fish/Frozen Food Association (AFFOSA) has recently elected a new president, Dr. Muhammad Salihu Abdulahi, at the Kado Fish Market in Kado, Abuja. In his inaugural statement, Dr. Abdulahi outlined his plans for the association, prioritizing unity among members in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and a massive membership drive* to resolve disputes.
With his experience as leader of Igala Neighbourhood, Assistant Secretary, and Vice Chairman of AFFOSA, Dr. Abdulahi is confident in his ability to lead the association to new heights. He expressed his gratitude to stakeholders and members for their support, emphasizing that their solidarity will be crucial in achieving the association’s objectives.
Dr. Abdulahi prayed for members’ support, stating that their cooperation will go a long way in ensuring the success of the new leadership. Newly elected Secretary, Hon. Usman Suleiman, also shared his vision, promising to *propagate the association to the next level* and collaborate with the FCT Minister to secure a larger market for members.
Outgoing Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim, offered words of wisdom to the newly elected officers, advising them to be patient with traders and work towards unity among members in the FCT. He emphasized the importance of fostering good relationships between members and other traders in Abuja, as well as supporting the FCT Minister in his efforts to continue his good work.
Ibrahim also encouraged the new leadership to embark on a membership drive, visiting all markets in the FCT, and to work towards securing a bigger market and housing estate to accommodate all members. With a focus on unity, membership growth, and collaboration with government agencies, the association is poised to make significant strides in promoting the interests of fish and frozen food sellers in Abuja.
The newly elected Secretary of the Association, Hon Usman Suleiman promised to do everything legitimately possible to ensure that the new leadership excels to the benefit of members.
