The late Vice President of the Association Of African Automotive Journalists (AAAJ) Trevor Lamenya was laid to rest today, Saturday August 30, 2025 in his hometown, Lusaala Hill, Vigina village, Kidundu Sub-Location, in Vihiga County, Western part of Kenya.
Trevor Lamenya, popularly known as “Big Boy Trev,” was a renowned Kenyan automotive journalist and media personality. He passed away on August 1, 2025, after a short illness. Lamenya was widely respected for his in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry and his engaging media presence.
In a statement jointly signed by Mike Ochonma, President and Fact Jeke, Secretary General of the Association Of African Automotive Journalists described the death of AAAJ not only a big loss to the African continental automotive body, but also that of global motoring industry.
