The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa has congratulated the Ministry of State for Education, Dr Suwaiba Ahmad, on her well-deserved promotion to the rank of Professor of Science Education.

This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday by the Director, Press and Public Relations in the ministry, Mrs Folasade Boriowo.

Speaking on the milestone, Alausa described the achievement as “a reflection of Professor Ahmad’s unwavering commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and her exemplary service to education at both national and global levels”.

He further expressed confidence that this recognition would boost her efforts in driving impactful policies and initiatives for the sector.

“Professor Ahmad’s promotion to the esteemed rank of Professor not only highlights her exceptional scholar and leadership but also brings pride and recognition to the feminine gender.

“This remarkable achievement stands as a beacon of inspiration for women in academia, affirming their capacity to break barriers and reach greater heights,” he said.

Also, the Permanent Secretary, Dr Sani-Gwarzo, also commended Prof. Ahmad for her dedication, noting that her promotion is a fitting acknowledgment of her invaluable contributions to the development of science education in Nigeria.

Sani-Gwarzo emphasised that this accomplishment was yet another height for the female gender and a testament to the transformative power of education.

Recall that the Management of Bayero University, Kano, on Friday, December 27, 2024, approved this remarkable elevation, a testament to Professor Ahmad’s unparalleled dedication to academic excellence.

This elevation is also based on Ahmad’s significant contributions to the advancement of science education in Nigeria and beyond.
