The Ogbunka Development Union (ODU) has on behalf of the entire Community extended their warm congratulations to their illustrious son, Engr. Martin Agbili on his successful redeployment from Permanent Secretary, Anambra State Ministry of Youths and Sports to Permanent Secretary, the State’s Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.
According to a press release signed by the community’s President General (PG) and Secretary, Hon. Ikechukwu Chukwubueze and Rev. Canon Dan Onwuasor respectively over the week, the milestone achievement is a testament to Engr. Agbili’s hard work, resilience, competence, and the dogged spirit that Ogbunka is known for. His appointment is a reflection of his dedication to public service and his commitment to excellence.
Engr. Agbili, a seasoned electrical/safety engineer and career firefighter, has served in various leadership capacities, including as the Chief Fire Officer of Anambra State Fire Service. His expertise in fire safety, disaster risk management, and security management has earned him numerous awards and recognition.
The ODU and Ogbunka Community wish Engr. Agbili continued success in his future endeavors and looks forward to his contributions to the development of Anambra State.

Engr. Martin Agbili is a highly respected figure in Anambra State, Nigeria, known for his exceptional leadership and expertise in fire safety management, disaster risk reduction, and security management. He has had a distinguished career spanning over 27 years, serving as the Fire Chief of Anambra State Fire Service before being appointed Permanent Secretary.
Some of his notable achievements include, fire safety advocacy, emphasizing the importance of fire safety design in Nigerian buildings, citing the need for fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, and smoke detectors, holding various leadership positions, including Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Awka Branch, and Regional Coordinator for the African continent of International Fire Fighters Day (IFFD), and receiving numerous awards for his contributions to safety, fire prevention, and humanitarian services.
