Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni has presented additional 20 Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles to security agencies in the state.

He made the presentation Wednesday after inaugurating the Yobe State Security Planning and Coordination Group.

He said the vehicles are intended to enhance operational capacity of the security outfits in providing security to the people across the state.

“We have procured additional 20 Toyota Land Cruiser (Sansar) vehicles at this strategic period of cropping season to enhance the operational capability of the security agencies in providing adequate and timely security to our farmers in some soft targets especially along the borders.

“I wish to enjoin the security operatives to make good use of these vehicles strictly for the purposes intended with a good culture of maintenance” Buni said.

Gov. Buni noted that the group was constituted “to facilitate the establishment and implementation of a common approach and an inclusive framework for all stakeholders to support a timely, coordinated and effective transition from stabilization, medium and longer-term recovery, to peace building and development processes,”.
