Food Palliative: Power Minister Distributes Over 10,000 Bags Of Rice To Oyo Residents

The federal government under it’s Food Security program and Renewed Hope Agenda has distributed over ten thousand bags of rice in 25kg to Associations, organizations and groups in Oyo state to cushion the effect of economy hardship in the state.

The food distribution which was the phase one of the food security program to mitigate the effect of the economy hardship.

The event held in Ibadan was attended by various groups, organizations, associations and traditional rulers in Oyo state to benefit from the gesture of the government.

Addressing journalists, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was represented by the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu said that the present government is committed to improve the standard of living of the people and their daily living standard.

He added that he is aware of the current economic hardship and sufferings that people are going through and assured that the country would soon get over the challenges.

Tinubu said the rice distribution does not have the political colouration but in the furtherance of good governance to the people and to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

He enjoined the people to continue to support the present administration in giving out the good governance to the people and assured the people not to relent in his effort to the people from the core economic hardship.

Tinubu said that “This program is all about the message from our dear President, the hardworking, indefatigable, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Under his Food Security program, under the Renew Hope Agenda, is committed to improving the standard of living of our people to improving the daily living standard of our people.

“He said he is aware of the hardship and sufferings that our people are currently passing through and he is assuring that it is a temporary thing.”

“That very soon we will all start enjoying the dividends of this administration.”

“We are therefore decided to give us as our own share in Oyo State through my very good self, the Honourable Minister of Power to distribute a total of 10,000 bags of rice to the people of Oyo State.”

“And he said this is not a political thing, is not politics, it is in furtherance of good governance.”

“The rice belongs to every citizen, every resident of oyo state and in distribution we must be transparent that it touches every association, every group, every religious association, every traditional association, every ethnic association resident in Oyo State which is why we are provided to make it Ope today.”

“Everybody could see this rice as they are arranged and organized and we have a list of all eligible association which we are going to distribute to them from today.”

“The list of all each association is entitle to we have it here.”

“I want to enjoin our people to continue to pray for this administration, our leaders has tried to improve the lives of our people, to improve the standard of living our people.”

“All we need from you is your continue prayers for God to continue to guide us, protect our lives and ensure that we are able to take you to our desire destination.”

“This just the phase one of the food security palliatives as part of The Renewed Hope Agenda of this administration.”

“We will be witnessing this kind of distribution regularly and as far as we able to get anything from Abuja, we will call you and together we will distribute it. He said.

Hundreds of Groups and Associations including community leaders,religious leaders, Artisans, Traders and residents of Oyo state benefited from the Rice Distribution.
