The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has raised the alarm over activities of fraudsters who are sending fake invitation for recruitment into the service, warning members of the public and especially job seekers not to fall victim to the scam.
A Statement by DCI Aridegbe Adedotun, Service Public Relations officer clarified that all invitations for recruitment into the NIS can only be downloaded from the official recruitment portal; https://cdcfib.career by the applicants, who must log in with their registration and phone numbers to access the invitation letters.
He maintained that the service does not send private invitation to individual applicants other than the one they download from the official website of the service.
The statement reads :”The attention of the Ag. Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, pcc+, fsi, has been drawn to the activities of some fraudsters who are deceiving members of the public with invitation letters for recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service.
“The Service hereby, states that all invitations for recruitment into the NIS can only be downloaded from the official recruitment portal; https://cdcfib.career by the applicants, who must log in with their registration and phone numbers to access the invitation letters.
“All other forms of invites from any source and through any medium sent directly to applicants are fake.
” Consequently, the Ag. Comptroller General wishes to use this medium to advise members of the public to ignore the invitations, as such offers are not true and are intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
“Any request for information/enquiry about the activities of the NIS can be accessed through the following platforms:
i. Twitter – @nigimmigration ii. Instagram – @ingimmigration iii. SERVICOM – +2349121900655, +2349121556359, +2349121477092 “
