Global Online Media Commends Oborevwori On Comrade Festus Ahon’s Appointment As CPS

Global Online Media, publishers of Shocknaija, Delta Uhuru (News Online), has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on the choice of Comrade Festus Ahon as the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Delta State Governor as global Online group congratulates Senior Vanguard Newspaper Correspondent in Delta State on his well-deserved appointment.

In a statement today being on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 by Shock & DCI-Worldwide Enterprises, Publishers of Delta Uhuru, Shocknaija News (Online, Magazines, Newspapers) as signed by the group’s Director of Media, Publicity & Communication Matters, Comrade Okonkwo Mercy, which was made available to Journalists in Asaba Delta State capital as group described Comrade Festus Ahon as a veteran, seasoned Journalist who had distinguished himself in Journalism practice in Delta State.

In a statement as signed on behalf of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori by the Permanent Secretary, Government House Administration & Protocols, Sir Eddy Ogidi-Gbegbaje, yesterday being on Monday, May 29, 2023 barely some hours after Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori was sworn-in as the Executive Governor of Delta State reads in parts: “Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the appointment of Mr. Festus  Ighoyeguonor Ahon as the Chief  Press Secretary to the Governor”.

“Mr Ahon who until his appointment was the state Correspondent of the Vanguard Newspapers is also National Ex- Officio of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ. The appointment is with immediate effect”.

The Global Online Media in a statement reacted to Governor Oborevwori’s choice of Ahon as his CPS, then Congratulated the Senior Vanguard Newspaper Correspondent in Delta State and National Ex-Offcio, NUJ on his well-deserved appointment. The media group also, extolled Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to had made the best choice and had critically looked inwards and selected a veteran, seasoned, one of the best Journalists with decades of Journalism practice in Delta State with vast knowledge in community leadership as well as excellent grassroots political experience”.

The statement by the global online media reads in parts: “We use this medium to thank Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to had appointed Comrade Festus Ahon, one of the best hands in Journalism practice in Delta State as his Chief Press Secretary. Indeed, we say a big thank to our brand new Governor for this first and well-deserved appointment to one of us”.

” His Excellency Sir, we use this medium to congratulate you to had been Successfully Sworn-in yesterday ss Delta State Governor. On behalf of entire media practitioners in the State we commend the Governor for this good development and signs of good partnership with the media in the State, and a show of humility and commitment to your M.O.R.E agenda policy to all Deltans. We look forward to seeing more robust partnerships with your administration as well as other best hands in the Journalism practice in different sectors in your new regime.”.

“We also Congratulate Comrade Festus Ahon for his decades of hardwork, mentorship, Professionalism, commitment to excellence in media industry as a Senior Vanguard Newspaper Correspondent in Delta State. We urge him to use his decades, wealth of experience in the media sector to contribute maximally to the Socio-economic Development of our dear Delta state”.

“Our dear brother we pray for God’s protection, wisdom and support to you all as you resume duty to work with Governor Oborevwori in this new administration in fulfilment of his M.O.R.E agenda for all Deltans.
