Inaugurating the Aminu Masari led committee in Abuja, Ganduje observed the disagreement between state governors and their deputies have well documented since the return of civil rule in 1979 leading to strained relationship between the two .

He said the party is wading into the matter to see how it can find lasting solution to the problem and restore peace and good working relationship between the number one and two

” As a political party we are interested to see that there is a peaceful coexistence and a good working relationship between the governor of Ondo State and his deputy. In order to see how we can solve this problem, it is important to set a reconciliation committee”;

Gaduje expressed confidence that the committee will do a good job of the assignment .

“A reconciliation must be comprise of people who have relevant experience, cognitive knowledge on the issue before us. Already the names of members of this committee has been mentioned and you will agree with me…I believe this a solid team that is well qualified to look into this issue and give appropriate recommendations to the party.

Among the terms of reference given the 9 – member committee include:

“To interface and engage with all contending partner(s) with a view to gathering facts and circumstances surrounding the lingering impeachment process of the Ondo State Deputy Governor.

“To advise the Party on the most amicable ways of handling the lingering issues leading to the impeachment process of Ondo State Deputy Governor. And to make necessary recommendations to the Party on resolution of issues and any other matter that may come up in the course of the assignment.

The Committee has One week to submit its recommendation.

In his response, Chairman of the Committee, Rt. Hon Aminu Masari assures that the committee will look at the issues dispassionately , promising to come out with recommendations that will solve the problem of Ondo state.

Masari said: “I had a privilege of working harmoniously with a deputy, we had no rancour and disagreement our relationship is still up to this moment.

“Our committee will look at issues disproportionately… We will put in the best in working for the party.
Our task is working with the party to achieve the objectives set for us in terms of reference given to us.

“And I want to appeal to the national chairman, if it is possible, to issue directives to APC in Ondo to stay any further action until we submit our report because if the committee is working and APC in Ondo is doing the same thing we may have an assignment that is dead on arrival”

Other members of the committee include M.Abubakar, former governor of Bauchi State, Adegboyega Oyetola former governor of Osun State, Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy governor Lagos State.
And Martin Elechi, former governor of Ebonyi State .

The committee members also include
Senator Jack Florence Ita Giwa, Senator Tokunbo Abiru while Lawal Abbas Garba serves as secretary of the committee.
