The lawmaker representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja, Honourable Joshua Chinedu Obika has urged South West Geopolitical Zone members of the Labour Party (LP’) in the FCT to not only promote unity, but also engage in in grassroots mobilization.

The lawmaker gave them the charge when he attended a town hall meeting the group organized at the LP’s National Secretariat in Utako, Abuja recently.

During his address, while praising them for efforts so far, and reiterating the need for intensified grassroots mobilization, he urged members to establish party chapters at the electoral ward level to strengthen the party’s presence.

Obika reaffirmed the LP’s strength under National Chairman Barr. Julius Abure, stressing the importance of adhering to the party’s constitution. He emphasized that no individual is above the party’s principles and called for unity among members.

The lawmaker encouraged dialogue with aggrieved members to foster reconciliation and promote party cohesion. He asserted that the LP remains a leading force in Nigeria and urged collective action to defend its progress.

Obika’s message underscored the party’s commitment to growth, unity, and adherence to its core values. The town hall meeting provided a platform for members to engage, discuss challenges, and chart a path forward for the party’s success.
