By Abba -Eku Onyeka, Abuja

Dr. Tobias Obiechina, the newly appointed Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Labour Party (LP) in Abuja, has urged party members to remain united in order to achieve victory in the upcoming area council elections. Obiechina, who is also the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Tobel Technologies Limited, addressed journalists in his office in Abuja over the weekend.

Obiechina’s appointment was made by the National Transition and Caretaker Committee of the party, along with Retired Commissioner of Police, Henry Njoku, and Danladi Manjung, who will serve as Deputy Chairman and Secretary, respectively. This committee was established pending the party’s readiness for new leadership.

The Chairman emphasized the importance of unity among party members, stating that it is crucial for achieving their common goal of victory in the area council elections. He encouraged party members to work together and support one another in order to achieve success.

Obiechina’s call for unity is seen as a crucial step in strengthening the party’s position in the upcoming elections. The Labour Party has been working to increase its presence in the nation’s capital, and Obiechina’s leadership is expected to play a key role in this effort.

The area council elections are expected to be highly contested, with several parties vying for control. The Labour Party’s ability to present a united front will be crucial in determining its success in these elections.

As the party prepares for the elections, Obiechina’s leadership will be closely watched. His ability to unite the party and lead it to victory will be a major test of his leadership skills.
