Motorcycle Operators Union leadership crisis: Court Affirms Comrade Julius Bobi as authentic National President

The crisis that has rocked the leadership of the Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria has finally been laid to rest as a court of competent jurisdiction in Abuja has ruled that Comrade Julius Oghenevwegba Bobi remains the authentic president of the Union.

This was contained in a letter written by the counsel to Comrade Julius Bobi, Parlance Law firm to the Attorney General of the Federation, the Minister of Justice, Ministry of Labour, the Nigerian Labour Congress and other relevant government agencies.

RE: SUIT OF MOTORCYCLE OPERATORS UNION OF NIGERIA (MOUN) AND 9 ORS V. SOTAYO RASAK OLUSOLA WITH SUIT NO: CV/85/2024

POST JUDGEMENT NOTIFICATION

We continue to act as Counsel to Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN), (herein referred to as our “Client”). We have the instruction of MOUN National leadership to write this notice

TAKE NOTICE: That there is a subsisting order of a competent Court of the Federal Capital Territory regarding the issues bordering on leadership of Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN) pending at the Court and an Order of the Court to maintain status quo

THAT: By this Order of the Court, Comrade Julius Oghenevwegba Bobi remains the National President of the Union to the exclusion of any other person. This Notice is issued to guide you on the future exchange of any correspondence regarding this said union and to assist you in guiding any ignorant individual, of the standing orders of the Court. Consequently, to rebuke any act that could constitute Contempt of Court and embrace compliance with rule of law.
