The Executive Vice-Chairman (EVC) and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Dr. Aminu Maida has lauded the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, Senator Basheer Lado over his exemplary style of administering his office.

This commendation came yesterday when the Special Adviser received him in audience on a courtesy visit in his office at the National Assembly Complex.

The EVC, Dr. Maida said that the Special Adviser’s gesture, not to limit the discharge of his duties to screening government appointees, was commendable.

He appreciated the Special Adviser for the opportunity he has given stakeholders to help Mr. President understand the challenges and progresses that have been made.

Earlier, the Special Adviser in his comment said he was pleased with the visit of the EVC and commended his work ethics, improvements and efficiency he has brought to the system.

Senator Lado particularly applauded the EVC for the ICT hubs, targeting over 140 millions Nigerians having access to internet with the 70% internet penetration into the system which he said, will promote economic growth.

The Special Adviser also appreciated the EVC’s commitment to the President and his administration.

This, according to him, will help the President to achieve the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Senator Lado further seek for new collaboration between NCC and the office of the Special Adviser to make operations easier and enhance NCC engagement and communication with the various committees that oversight its office.

Present at the meeting were the Senior Staff of the Special Adviser’s office to the President on Senate Matters.
