Obi Sweeps Anambra Polls As INEC Battles With Time

…Collation Officer Smuggled Out Of INEC Office

Mr. Peter Obi, presidential candidate of Labour Party is poised to sweep the polls in Anambra State as results from local councils trickle in.
So far, 14 out of the 21 local  councils.
In the councils whose results have been declared, all the parties put together did not score up to 10 pet cent of  Obi’s figures.
The councils are: Dunukofia,  Ayamelum, Njikoka, Ekwusigo, Anocha and Awka South.
Others are: Anambra West, Awka North, Aguata, Nnewi South, Onitsha South, Onitsha North, Oyi, and Anambra East.
In each of the local council  the scores as follows: Njikoka: APGA 507,
LP 31368, NNPP 64
PDP 479, Ekwusigo: APC159
APGA 162, LP 21498, NNPP 47 and PDP362; Anaocha:
APC 178, APGA 468,
LP 33695, and PDP 584.
Others are: Awka South:
APC 305, APGA 1118,
LP 56498, NNPP 133 and
PDP 963; Anambra West: APC 360, APGA 357
LP 12400, NNPP 37 and
PDP 226.
Others yet are: Awka North
APC 118, APGA 526
LP 1556, NNPP 57 and
PDP 454; Aguata:
APC 301, APGA 712
LP 37478 and PDP 522;
Nnewi South: APC 201,
APGA145, LP 16767
NNPP 53 and PDP 201:
Onitsha South: APC 187,
APGA 119, LP38403
NNPP 131 and PDP 287.
Oyi Local council: APC 312,
APGA 551, LP 25950
NNPP 83 and PDP 1142,
Anambra East:
APC 433, APGA 489
LP 20755 and PDP 350;
Onitsha North APC 211,
APGA 167, NNPP 140
PDP 510 and LP 49334.
Meanwhile, the electoral officer that presented the results of Nnewi South Local government, Professor Chinwe Asikpo had to be taken home for safety because she raised the alarm of threat of her life.
Before she presented her result at the INEC headquarters, Awka,  Asikpo was overheard dragging with the electoral officer that she won’t agree to toe certain line the EO was urging her to toe.
At the end of her presentation, Asikpo raised the alarm that some people from Nnewi South present at the presentation and may harm her if she was not protected.
At that point officers of INEC, shielded her and herded to Resident Electoral Officer’s office from where she was smuggled into a police van to be taken out of the premises.
The collation took a break  to resume later#
