The police officer in question was seen shooting into the air in the video where people appeared to be celebrating the reopening of the Ladipo Market which was earlier closed by the Lagos State Government (LASG).

“The police officer in this video, Inspector Istifanus Kwanchi, serving with the Mobile Police (MOPOL), has been brought in for appropriate disciplinary actions,” Hundeyin posted.

He added that the Lagos State Police Command condemns in its entirety all forms of unprofessional and unethical behaviour on the part of its officers and men.

The Police spokesman also stated that the Force will bring to book any officer found culpable for an offence.
