Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria group has condemned a report circulating online that falsely links Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal to funds claimed to be entrusted to him by former Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The group stated the story is untrue, unfounded, and appears to be an attempt by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara to discredit Governor Dauda Lawal. They noted that no court has ever associated Governor Dauda with Diezani Alison-Madueke, nor has he been entrusted with any such money.
Speaking on behalf of the group, spokesperson Abubakar Muktar urged Nigerians to disregard these unfounded claims and instead focus on the country’s urgent challenges.
“Instead of spreading falsehoods about individuals, the APC and its affiliates should prioritize tackling the escalating insecurity issues facing Nigeria. Banditry, kidnapping, terrorism, and other crimes pose serious threats that demand immediate attention. We urge everyone to leave Governor Dauda Lawal alone and concentrate on addressing insecurity,” Muktar said.
The group also commended Governor Dauda Lawal for maintaining good governance in Zamfara despite the security challenges left by the previous administration.
