Ahead of the ruling by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), the Labour Party Senatorial candidate for Edo Central in the February general election, Engr. Osereme Christen Omofoma, on Thursday urged for calm.

The Labour Party Chieftain underscored the need for “Obidients” to ensure calmness while the country awaits the Court verdict.

Engr Osereme made the remarks on Tuesday in Abuja at Court of Appeal venue of presidential election petition tribunal while addressing newsmen, urging people to remain calm before and after the court ruling.

Recall that the presidential candidate of the LP during the elections Peter Obi, is currently challenging INEC’s declaration of the APC candidate, Bola Tinubu, as winner of the poll.

Obi is also contesting the constitutionality of the candidacy of the APC Presidential and vice presidential contestants.

The tribunal is expected to deliver a ruling on the presidential election petition case following the adoption of final address from all parties in the coming days.
