Protest Rocks Lafia As Supreme Court Declares Sule As Governor Of Nasarawa

As supreme court sitting in Abuja on Friday and declared governor Abdullahi Sule as dully elected governor of Nasarawa State; supporters of opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has came out on the street of Lafia the Nasarawa State capital to protest against the decision of the Supreme Court that affirming the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule.

The Lafia -Jos road has been completely blocked as the protesters set fire to tires along the Jos road.

Motorists had to take alternative routes to pass out of Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.

In an interview, an automobile mechanic Mallam Abdullahi Sani, called for the deployment of security operatives to restore calm.

DAILY INDEPENDENT observed that shops and business centres including schools within the Lafia metropolis have been closed for the safety of pupils and students.

The Jos road has which is a busy road has been deserted as motorists fine their exit route.
