A Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Sir Emeka Mbagha has called for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s support, explaining that the governor’s enforcement of Monday market openings in the state is aimed at boosting the state’s economy, for the interest of the people of the state. Mbagha, a former President General of Anambra State Towns People Association (ASTPA), Abuja, and former President of Ohaneze Ndigbo in the FCT, stated this in an interview with our Correspondent in his office on Tuesday.
Mbagha said the governor’s decision is aimed at boosting the state’s economy and reducing economic sabotage. He noted that traders have been dragging their feet, but the governor is determined to ensure the state’s economy doesn’t suffer.
The APGA chieftain also spoke on the redevelopment of the Onitsha Main Market, saying it is not being demolished but rather redeveloped to restore its original glory and improve traffic flow. He dismissed allegations that the governor plans to reallocate market stalls to party members or government supporters as “laughable”.
On security concerns, Mbagha said the governor has improved security in Anambra State, restructuring the Agunechemba security outfit and deploying recruits to ensure safety. He described the state as now a secure place.
Mbagha praised the governor’s achievements, saying he is focused on delivering results and has brought development to Anambra State. He urged Anambra indigenes to stay focused and vote APGA, saying it is their party and they will use it to drive development in the state.
The APGA chieftain also dismissed perceptions that the governor has one leg in APGA and the other in APC, saying he is committed to APGA and winning elections.
Mbagha advised Anambra indigenes to remain loyal to their state and vote APGA, citing the party’s slogan, “Nkea Bu Nke Anyi,” meaning “This One Is Our Own”.
The governor’s efforts to enforce Monday market openings have been met with mixed reactions from traders and residents.
Some traders have expressed concerns about the impact of the enforcement on their businesses, while others have welcomed the move, saying it will improve the state’s economy.
The Anambra State government has been working to improve the state’s economy and infrastructure, and the enforcement of Monday market openings is seen as a key part of these efforts.
The APGA has been a dominant force in Anambra State politics, and the party’s support is crucial to the governor’s success.
The governor’s one-year anniversary in office is approaching, and his efforts to improve the state’s economy and infrastructure are expected to be a key focus of his administration.
The people of Anambra State are watching closely to see the impact of the governor’s policies on their lives and livelihoods.
The governor’s commitment to APGA and his vision for the state’s development are expected to shape the party’s fortunes in the state.
The enforcement of Monday market openings is seen as a test of the governor’s resolve to drive development in the state.
The outcome of the governor’s efforts is expected to have a significant impact on the state’s economy and the lives of its people.
