As a backdrop of the supreme court judgement upholding the 2023 election of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President of Nigeria, group known as Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Grassroots Movement of Nigeria has congratulated Mr President for victory at the Supreme Court and pledged continued mobilization of grassroots support to the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) as part of their contributions to the President Tinubu administration.
The pledge was a contained in a communique signed by the national leaders of the group and made available to the press at the national headquarters of the group in Abuja by Alhaji Muritala Mohammed alias Ten Ten who is the Convener and national leader of group. Among the leaders were Alhaji Adamu YahayaTanko for North Central, Alhaji Ibrahim Kachala North East, Mallam Sule Ahmed Zubairu, Dr Ejike Nwangwu Southeast, Barr Ade Olubayo Southwest and Engr Donald Mfon Bassey Southsouth among others.
According to the communique, the judgment upholding the election of Tinubu has brought stability to the polity and paved the way for Tinubu led administration to settle down and face governance frontally with its Renewed Hope Agenda for the betterment of Nigerians in the cities, towns and villages round. The group tasked President Tinubu on security, food production, road construction, power and job creation for the youth.
Speaking further Alhaji ten ten who is the Deputy National Chairman of Heavy Duty and Haulage Transport Association of Nigeria with over 18,000 members added “We are impressed with the judgment because our labour in mobilizing support votes for APC nationwide under the directive and sponsorship of our Principal Senator Orji Uzor Kalu during the 2023 general elections was not in vain and on behalf of our members nationwide we pledged our continued mobilization of grassroots support for the APC under the directive of our Principal  Senator Orji Uzor”
The group while harping on the way forward for APC advised the National Chairman of the party and former Governor of Kano State Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje to operate an open door policy and ensure that credible pro APC groups like OUK Grassroots Movement of Nigeria are recognized and carried along in the scheme of things of the party as according to them the contributions of the pro APC groups in 2023 elections and subsequent elections cannot be overemphasized.
