The President also received commendation for assenting to the bills on electricity, Student Loan and new retirement age for judiciary officers.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja, the National Coordinator of the group, Amb. Ibrahim Bala Aboki, urged Nigerians to be patient with President Tinubu, adding that the
Project Rescue Nigeria Team has pinpointed the key early well-orchestrated moves by Mr. President vis-a-vis political appointments and signing of Bills aimed at tackling the precarious challenges facing our dear nation.

“The Project Rescue Nigeria Team (PRNT) is a Team borne out of the increased need for a platform that will coordinate the activities of various interest groups who are calling for Integration, Sustainability, Equity, fairness as well as promoting National Unity and Cohesion.

“Our Team is non-Governmental and non-partisan Organization working to engender peace, Unity as well provide Support and defence for grassroots democracy in Nigeria.

“Project Rescue Nigeria Team has been structured to complement the efforts of the Federal Government of Nigeria which are intended to ameliorate hardship and poverty,” he said.

He thanked all Nigerians for their patience so far with policies which might at the moment cause little discomfort to Nigerians, adding at the long term it will produce good for the benefit of the nation.

“We urge everyone to continue in this light, as the dividends will come gradually just like we are beginning to experience in the drop in prices of commodities such as the cooking gas, diesel etc, in recent times and more is still coming,” he said.

Speaking further on the right steps the President had taken since assumption of office, Aboki said, “President Tinubu on assumption of office initiated an urgent meeting between him, the Service Chiefs and the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA). This move, again, underscores the importance and high regards placed on the security of lives and properties of Nigerians by President Bola Ahmed Tunubu. During the meeting, the Nigerian security agencies resolved to stamp out insecurity in Nigeria.

“Our group (The Project Rescue Nigeria Team) is committed to supporting the security architecture by making intelligence available where necessary.

“To advance collaboration and create a synergy, we observed that the President has convened a meeting of all the 36 state governors, as this would enable him to reach out to all states, including the ones govern by opposition parties, and also to build internal cohesion and foster unity as Mr. President has actually demonstrated that political parties are mechanisms used to a parcel to forge a united and greater Nigeria, this again has demonstrated Mr. President’s prowess at Negotiations, which will in the long run, be to the benefits of all and sundry.”

The group also noted the way the President has put machinary if place to address corruption in the country, adding, “to pursue the anti-corruption mandate, heads of government agencies are now being suspended to enable them attend to corruption charges levied against them.

“Today, Mr. Godwin Emefiele and Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, both heads of CBN and EFCC respectively, are already in custody and reportedly giving very useful information that can help curb further issues of corruption, No doubt, Nigeria is in for a new beginning that will yield a great economy and political stability.”
