Yobe Acting Head of Service, Hamidu M. Alhaji assumes office

The newly appointed Acting Head of Service for Yobe State, Hamidu M. Alhaji has assumed office.

The handing and taking over ceremony took place today at his Office in the Governor’s office Damaturu, was attended by prominent personalities including Permanent Secretaries among other top government functionaries.

Speaking shortly after taking over, the new Acting Head of Service, Hamidu M. Alhaji thanked Governor Mai Mala Buni for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota towards the development of the state and Civil Service and assured to justify the confidence reposed in him by adding value.

Earlier speaking, the outgoing supervising Head of Service who is also the Permanent Secretary Establishments office of the Head of Service, Shu’aibu Ibrahim Amshi congratulated the new Acting Head of Service over his appointment.

He appealed to the Staff of the Office of Head of Service to extend the desired support extended to him and his predecessors for the new HoS to execute his duties efficiently.

It could be recalled that Governor Mai Mala Buni had recently approved the appointment of Hamidu M. Alhaji as Acting Head of Service Yobe State, after the expiration of tenure of Alhaji Garba Bilal who has retired after putting his 35 years in service.

Other dignitaries at the ceremony were: Commissioner Ministry for Basic and Secondary Education Dr. Sani Idriss, Commissioner of Commerce and Investment Hon. Kaigama Umar, Chairman NLC Comrade Mukhtar Musa Tarabutu, top officials of the Head of service office, Friends and well wishers among others.
