The Nigeria Police Force has revealed that one of the arrested terrorists responsible for the 2022 Abuja-Kaduna train attack, which resulted in the killing and abduction of passengers, was found to be in possession of over 40 AK-47 rifles.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the masterminds behind the March 28, 2022 attack were apprehended for their involvement in terrorism, kidnapping, and culpable homicide.

During a press briefing in Kaduna State on Thursday, Adejobi disclosed that one of the suspects, Ibrahim Abdullahi, also known as Mandi, was additionally implicated in the 2021 abduction of students from Greenfield University.

Reacting to a photograph of the arrested terrorists posted by the Force spokesperson on his X account, an X user, @emetisuccess said, “These young guys, na them do that kind thing.”

Adejobi who responded to the X user’s expression, noted that one of the terrorists he identified as Auwal Ayuba had more than 40 AK-47 rifles.

“In fact, the one on the left, Auwal Ayuba, has more than 40 Ak 47 in his possession and camp.

“The one at the extreme right, Ibrahim, is a serial kidnapper and terrorist. He kidnapped the students of Green Field Kaduna.

“They were apparently around 18 years, plus, when they attacked the train.”

“They are deadly guys. We will continue to pick them one by one. Any criminal can only run but can’t hide,” he added.
