The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested Riba Kwanta, a 40-year-old man from Bode in the state’s Shelleng Local Government Area, in connection with the alleged gruesome murder of his wife, Godiya Akwale.

Kwanta allegedly hacked his wife to death before locking her body inside their home and escaping to Ondo State.

They had been married for more than three years.

SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the spokesman for the command, confirmed the arrest of the suspect to our newspaper.

He assured that Kwanta would be prosecuted after the conclusion of investigation.
