Commendations have continued to trail the recent appointment of Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu (Ogadagidi) the traditional ruler of Edem-ani Ogwugwu ancient kingdom as the Chairman of Enugu State Council of Chiefs by the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

Hon. Sabastine Ezema, the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of JennyVera Suites, Abuja, said the governor has won the hearts of not only the Edem Ani people but Enugu State in general by choosing a man who has dedicated his efforts towards lifting the living standards of the people through sheer philanthropy.

Hon. Ezema, who aspired for Enugu State House of Assembly position in 2019, noted that the move shows that Mbah wants to lift Enugu State to higher heights working with men that have vision and capacity to transform the well-being of the people.

“I would like to Thank Enugu State Governor His Excellency Dr Peter Mba for appointing Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu (Ogadagidi) the traditional ruler of Edem-ani Ogwugwu ancient kingdom as the Chairman of Enugu State Council of Chiefs.

“This development has demonstrated how His Excellency wishes to work with men that have vision and capacity to transform the well-being of the people of Enugu State.

“His Royal Majesty Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu is a traditional ruler with a difference, always yearning to alleviate the suffering of his people, his road projects, water provision for the community, provision of solar street light and human capital development he has implemented within one year of his installation as the traditional ruler of the people of Edem Ani Ogwugwu kingdom has proved he is ready to serve, may I assure His Excellency that he will not have any regret appointing our son in this position”.

Recall that among other community projects donated free of charge to his people, on December 27, 2019, Igwe Ogadagidi, a nurse of over 24 years in Dallas Texas, USA, delivered the first ever-free community hospital to provide free medical and maternal services to the people.

The 20-bed-space health facility, single handedly built by Asadu, is equipped with scanning machine, ultra sound, laboratory, eye clinic equipment and a standby 750 KVA power generating set, to ease the pain of accessing medical services by villagers.
