DSS Burst Child Traffiking Syndicate, Arrest 2 Suspects

The Department of State Security (DSS), on Tuesday evening said they have punctured a notorious child Trafficking syndicate, rescued a 4 year old toddler, as it detained a 17 year old lady, and her sponsor.

The Kano office of the DSS, explained that the State Hisbah Officials had handed over to them a 4 year old Aisha, an indigene of Nguru, Yobe state who was abducted and brought to Kano by the 17 Year old lady (names withheld) after they suspected that there was no connection between the stolen baby and her abductor.

The Department of State Security, explained that after receiving the stolen 4 year old Aisha and her abductor, they traced the man behind the inter state child Trafficking.

He said “We arrested the real kingpin behind child trafficking from neighboring states to Kano and sold off in Southern part of the country without traces “.

The DSS said upon interrogation the 17 Year old lady, confessed that the kingpin, a neighbour, who camouflage as ground nut seller
seduced her to abduct the 4 year old, with assurance that nothing would happened to her.

The secret police further revealed that Ring Leader also confessed that the 4 year old abduction was the third in the series of abduction he has successfully executed from his operational base in Nguru, Yobe state.

The principal suspect in his confessional statement narrated that “I ran out luck after I engaged this lady to abduct Aisha to Kano , and paid for their services while I will moved on with the victim to my partners”.

He said they operate child trafficking cartels with organized tentacles across states.
