The ancient city of Kano was Wednesday thrown into confusion, following reports by the Police Command that three youngsters allegedly connive to poison, stabbed their friend to death, cremated to destroy evidence.

A statement by the Police local Image maker, a Superintendent of police, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa that was made available to newsmen in gave a graphic account of the heinous crime.

SP Kiyawa said the suspect all in their early twenties conspired to kill one Dahiru Musa, 32 in a futile attempt to seized ownership of certificate of the deceased landed property.

The soft spoken Police Public Relations Officer named Aliyu Adamu, 22, Mubarak Abdulsalam, 20, and Sadiq Sunusi, 19 as behind the dastardly act.

According to SP Kiyawa ” All the three (3) suspects are currently at the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Homicide Section undergoing investigation, thereafter will be charged to court for prosecution.”

He revealed that the lead was blown open when report was received from a resident of Dorayi Quarters, Kano that his brother one Dahiru Musa, 32 was missing and they are strongly suspecting one of his close associates, Aliyu Adamu, 22.

He then offered him food with poison, and having discovered that he was unconscious, they used knives and stabbed him to death.

They later packed the remains in a sack and thrown to an uncompleted building near his house.

He further confessed that their intention was to convert the deceased landed property to his own as he was in possession of the land documents.

Further Investigation led to the arrest of the accomplice, Mubarak Abdulsalam who confessed that upon getting the information that Aliyu has been arrested, he conspired with one Sadiq Sunusi, 19 years old, ‘m’, of Mandawari Quarters, use petrol and burnt the deceased body to erase evidence.

The body was evacuated to Murtala Mohammed Specialists Hospital Kano for autopsy.
