The When in Need Foundation (WIN) has provided relief to those affected by the recent fire outbreak in markets within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

At an Early Christmas Giveaway and Educational Support Initiative in Abuja on Thursday, the foundation’s founder, Dr Chetachi Ecton, announced that no fewer than 370 widows, 20 students, and 10 trainees were supported.

The foundation also awarded a special scholarship to a young widow who wished to return to school to achieve her dream.

Ecton advised the widows not to allow their circumstances to limit them, but to rise up and face the challenges head-on.

Noah Emmanuel, National President of the Non-governmental Association for Literacy Support Services (NOGALSS), called for collaborative efforts with well-meaning Nigerians to support the vulnerable in the country.

He expressed concern over the challenges of not having people who have the means but fail to support the downtrodden.

The Sa’Peyi of Garki, Usman Kupi, acknowledged the challenges faced by Nigerians but called for patience, noting that the policies of President Bola Tinubu would transform the country in no distant time.

One of the beneficiaries of the gesture, Yaldam Samaila, expressed joy after receiving the scholarship, thanking the organisation for being a channel to scale through her education.(NAN)
