Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu, the APGA chairmanship candidate in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), is optimistic about his party’s chances of winning the upcoming election, despite the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) being in power. Chukwu attributes APGA’s potential victory to its reputation for corruption-free governance, citing the party’s past electoral successes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), including a win in Gwagwalada Area Council.

“People are tired of the status quo,” Chukwu said. “They’re tired of APC, tired of PDP, and the Labor Party didn’t meet their expectations. The coalition parties have court cases and internal conflicts, leaving people without hope. They’re searching for leadership in a party that can deliver.”

Chukwu emphasized APGA’s commitment to good governance, highlighting the party’s motto, “Be Your Brothers and Sisters’ Keepers.” He pointed to Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration as an example of APGA’s effective leadership, noting that the state has achieved development without relying on borrowing.

Chukwu believes APGA’s incorruptible image sets it apart from other parties. He cited Peter Obi, a prominent Nigerian politician, as an example of APGA’s commitment to transparency and accountability. “APGA produced Peter Obi, and he’s celebrated today for his virtues,” Chukwu said.
