The event was attended by distinguished guests, including the Chief Judge of FCT, Honourable Justice, and Hon Mohammed Abdulmutalib, Commissioner for Rural Development and Energy, Kogi State.

In his acceptance speech, High Chief Ofodum Vitus Ikenna expressed gratitude to the members of LECAN for placing their trust in him and his team. He pledged to work tirelessly to promote quality and professionalism in the electrical contracting industry, focusing on capacity building, advocacy, and networking.

High Chief Otunba Dele Akintola, in his welcome address, congratulated the new leadership and urged them to lead with integrity, humility, and wisdom. He emphasized the importance of unity and called on members to support the new leadership.

Hon Mohammed Abdulmutalib, in his keynote address, highlighted the critical role of electrical contractors in Nigeria’s power sector development. He commended LECAN for its efforts to promote quality and professionalism in the industry and assured the new leadership of Kogi State Government’s support and collaboration.

The theme of the event, “Empowering Electrical Contractors for a Brighter Future”, resonates with the Federal Government’s efforts to improve the power sector and increase access to reliable electricity. LECAN, as a professional body, has a critical role to play in promoting quality and professionalism in the electrical contracting industry.

High Chief Ofodum Vitus Ikenna’s leadership is expected to usher in a new era of growth and development for LECAN. His commitment to capacity building, advocacy, and networking is expected to enhance the association’s contribution to Nigeria’s power sector development.

The new leadership has pledged to work with stakeholders to address the challenges facing the industry and promote sustainable development. With the support of its members and partners, LECAN is poised to make a significant impact in the power sector and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth and development.

LECAN’s efforts to promote quality and professionalism in the electrical contracting industry are expected to have a positive impact on the nation’s power sector. The association’s commitment to empowering electrical contractors is a step in the right direction towards achieving a brighter future for Nigeria.
