The Nigerian Film Festivals Association (NFFA) has announced its calendar of upcoming film festivals in Nigeria for 2026.
The National Chairman,Kate Ezeigbo in a statement on Wednesday said NFFA is an umbrella organization that oversees film festivals in Nigeria, promoting the country’s film industry through various events and initiatives.
Ezeigbo noted that NFFA’s Mission and Objectives is to Support and regulate film festivals across Nigeria, Foster networking, cultural exchange, diversity, marketability, and artistic innovation and Enhance cultural exchange and diversity
– Boost marketability and distribution of Nigerian films.
She also said that NFFA also Foster artistic innovation and experimentation, Encourage community engagement and economic impact.
*While announcing the 2026 calendar, the NFFA listed Abia International Film Festival (Oct 15-18, Umuahia, Abia State), African Indigenous Language Film Festival (Dec 2-5, Lagos)and Badagry International Film Festival (Nov 19-21, Badagry).
She listed Bayelsa International Film Festival (Nov 11-14, Bayelsa), Benin City Film Festival (Oct 29-31, Benin City, Edo State), Coal City Film Festival (Mar 26-28, Enugu),and Eko International Film Festival (May 11-15, Lagos).
Others are Gospel Film Festival (Jun 3-5, Ibadan, Oyo State), ÌBÀDÀN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (Sep 17-19, Oyo state), Igbowood Arts Exhibition Film Festival and Awards (Nov 20-22, South East Nigeria), Imo International Film Festival (Jul 23-25, Owerri, Imo state) and Imo Film Festival (Jan 15-17, Owerri, Imo State).
Jos Community Film Festival is scheduled in (Nov 4-6, Jos, Plateau State), Kano Indigenous Languages of Africa Film Market and Festival (Nov 17-21, Kano), Kano International Film Festival (Sep 27-30, Kano State), Kingdom Film Festival (Nov 27-29, Lagos).
Lafia Documentary Film Festival (Nov 12-14, Lafia, Nasarawa State), Nollywood Iconic Personalities and Film Festival (May 5-8, State to States), Rivers International Film Festival (Oct 29-Nov 1, Port Harcourt), Starlinks Cultural International Film Festival and Awards (Oct 22-24, Asaba, Delta state), Village Arts & Film Festival (Dec 20-22, Owerri, Imo State).
