As Nigerians begins to look forward to 2027 general elections, the member representing Onitsha South Constituency 2 in the Anambra State House of Assembly Hon Barr Jude Umennajiego has put a message across to Nigerians that former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential candidate of Labour Party in 2023 general election Mr Peter Obi remains the most competent candidate to be voted for Presidency in 2027

Hon Umennajiego who spoke to journalists shortly after the 2023 Presidential candidate of Labour Party defected to Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) at a ceremony in Enugu, noted that mere looking at Peter Obi’s background and track record, he has a lot of attributes that stands him out as the best choice to take over the helm of affairs in Nigeria in 2027 noting that his track record in prudent management of resources available within his disposal as Governor of Anambra is unbeatable

According to him “the records are there and from the records it is crystal clear that the former Governor of Anambra State has what it takes to manage the resources of Nigeria and turn Nigeria into a more workable nation where people are safe and secured, where people have access to quality education and quality health care, where people are compelled to civil and mindful of duties and where institutions are well equipped to deliver on their mandate.

The Lawmaker described Obi’s movement to ADC as a step in right direction noting that the confusion Labour Party is engulfed in confusion and the confusion has incapacitated the party and made the Party uncondusive to play major role in politics like fielding a candidate good enough to win Presidential election. “No well thinking person will choose a confused and incapacitated political party as a platform to contest election, so Obi’s decision to join ADC is a welcome”
