Ambassador Rachael Adewumi, the Woman Leader of the Abuja Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTs), has been re-elected for a second term.

She attributed her success to God and the support of Dr. Prince Edozie Ugwu, the ex-Chairman of the Association, and his wife, Dr. Gift Ugwu.

Mrs. Ugwu played a crucial role by collecting nomination forms and campaigning on Adewumi’s behalf while she was abroad. Adewumi expressed gratitude to the Ugwu couple and her fellow women for their support, which she believes was instrumental in her re-election.

Adewumi’s remarks were made during the celebration of the 2025 International Mothering Sunday, which coincided with Eid-al-Fitri and International Women’s Day.

She emphasized the importance of unity and peace among members, urging them to uphold the themes of equality and empowerment.

Additionally, she commended her members for their moderation during festivities, ensuring that goods were priced affordably for all.

“I appreciate my Chairman emeritus, Dr Edozie Ugwu and his wife, Dr Gift Ugwu and all my women who joined them to ensure my reelection” She said.
