Dr. (Mrs.) Joy Ezeike, an accomplished entrepreneur and philanthropist, marked the recently celebrated International Mothering Sunday (IMS) on March 30, 2025, with the theme “Consolation and Joy.”

Known for her multifaceted achievements as the MD/CEO of Omas Group of Companies, Dr. Ezeike used the occasion to highlight the importance of motherhood and advocate for policies supporting mothers and families.

Dr. Ezeike emphasized self-care for mothers, urging them to celebrate their achievements while balancing responsibilities.

She also stressed the critical role fathers play in creating a nurturing environment by offering emotional support and sharing household duties. On government involvement, she called for family-friendly policies, access to healthcare, and programs that empower women economically and socially.

As the founder of Omas Foundation for Hope (OFH), Dr. Ezeike has championed initiatives such as free medical services for underserved communities, education for children, youth empowerment through skills acquisition, and clean water provision. Her foundation reflects her commitment to improving lives across Nigeria.

Dr. Ezeike also urged international organizations like the United Nations to prioritize maternal health and women’s empowerment globally. She believes celebrating mothers fosters compassion and equity in society.

Her achievements extend beyond philanthropy; she is a trailblazer in media and business with offices in Port Harcourt, Lagos, and Abuja. Her dedication to empowering women and youth continues to inspire many across Nigeria and beyond.
