ACOE Elects New Executive Team, Charged to Lead with Excellence in the Industry

The Association of Corporate Online Editors (ACOE) has successfully elected its first substantive executive team to steer the association’s affairs for a three-year tenure.

According to a statement signed by Gbemiga Olamikan, Public Relations Officer (PRO): the election took place on 30th May 2025 at the FCT NUJ Council, Abuja, with Ms. Joy Idam, representative of the FCT NUJ Council, overseeing the process.

Ms. Idam urged the newly elected executives to demonstrate exemplary leadership that embraces inclusivity, fosters unity among members, and upholds the highest standards of journalism in the digital age.

The newly elected executive members include:

Chairman: Omosola Akingboye

Vice Chairman: Khadijat Ameen

General Secretary: Queen Kunde

Assistant Secretary: Peace Ofeoshi

Treasurer: Lady Joy Odor

Financial Secretary: Augustine Ehikioya

Welfare Officer: Chidiebere Ugwu

Public Relations Officer (PRO): Gbemiga Olamikan

Provost: Moses Akwashiki

In his acceptance speech, Chairman Omosola Akingboye thanked the members for their confidence and pledged to lead with dedication and transparency. He emphasized the executive team’s commitment to advancing the association’s goals, enhancing professional standards, and fostering collaboration among members.

Akingboye also called on partners and stakeholders to expect innovative initiatives and impactful contributions from ACOE under the new leadership.

He declared that new executive team looks forward to driving positive change and elevating the practice of corporate online journalism across the industry.
