ADC Governorship Candidate, 72 Unions Pledge Support To Gov. Buni

The African Democratic Congress Governorship Candidate in Yobe state, Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammed Talio, has withdrawn from the race and pledged his support to Governor Mai Mala Buni.

Announcing his withdrawal from the race today, Talio said he was motivated by the achievements recorded by the Buni administration in the last four years.

“I want to avoid a situation if splitting votes, and to give our support to Governor Buni for a second term of office” he said.

Similarly a group of 72 trade unions in the state have declared their support to Governor Buni.

Chairman of Association, Alh. Umaru Barau, said the empowerment programmes of the state government has provided artisans in the state with sustainable means of livelihood.

“The interventions by the state government in providing commercial vehicles on loan at subsidised rates, sewing and knitting machines and many others have empowered tradesmen with means of livelihood.

“We will support you, vote you back for a second term to continue doing the good work” they assured.
