Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has predicted a landslide victory for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, in favour of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno. Akpabio made this prediction after the emergence of local council officers through consensus, congratulating the party for winning a second term in the area.

He expressed satisfaction with the exercise, saying the people of Essien Udim have once again endorsed President Tinubu and Governor Eno. He noted that traditional rulers in the area have also pledged their support for the duo, stating that there should be no consultation for any other candidate outside Tinubu and Eno.

The Senate President praised Governor Eno for maintaining peace in the state, saying it has contributed to the success of the exercise. He urged the newly elected party officers to continue working towards the unity of the party in the local government area.

Akpabio predicted that Essien Udim would deliver over 180,000 votes to Tinubu and Eno, citing the current voters’ registration. He described the exercise as peaceful and a grand occasion, thanking Governor Eno for his efforts.

The APC has been gaining momentum in Akwa Ibom State, with Governor Eno recently joining the party. Akpabio’s prediction is seen as a boost to the party’s chances in the state, with the Senate President expressing confidence in the party’s victory.
