Barely one week after the political parties in Nigeria elected their flag bearers for the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State scheduled to hold in November 8, 2025, popular grassroots group in the State known as Oga Ndi Oga Foundation has mounted its force not just for stronger participation at the poll but also to deliver its choice candidate onward to the government house in Awka as the next elected governor of the State nicknamed Light of the Nation.

Addressing journalists at Awka the State capital during a meeting with Local Government coordinators, the Founder/CEO of the Foundation, High Chief Godwin Agbasimelo stated with optimism that the Foundation will support and deliver a candidate who can buy into the agenda of the Foundation for good governance embedded in rural development, power supply, security, development of business infrastructures, facilities and amenities for job creation and poverty eradication among other things.

Agbasimelo explained that the Foundation which is a force to reckon with in terms of numerical power is poised to join hands with a good candidate to orchestrate a turning point in the governance of Anambra State and consequently the Foundation has built a massive voting strength to ensure that the candidate endorsed by the Foundation will coast home to victory come November 8.

He described the November poll as an another opportunity to right the wrong in governance of Anambra State by electing a candidate who is capable to fix things aright and ensure that the people at all levels including rural dwellers are positioned and empowered with infrastructures, facilities and amenities to unleash their potentials to the fullest best noting that what is important to Ndi Anambra at this point in time is a candidate with a bigger political platform.

He observed with dismay that Anambra is lagging behind neighbouring State like Delta State in terms of business infrastructures, facilities and amenities noting that a lot of traders and businessmen in Onitsha are relocating to Asaba the Delta State capital owing to the fact that Delta is now conducive to live and do business than Onitsha. He wondered why Anambra is lacking steady power supply at this age adding that the next governor must kill darkness in Anambra State

According to him, “Oga Ndi Oga Foundation is after a credible candidate with enough experience in human and economic development and management on one hand. And on the other hand a candidate with a bigger platform that will bring about a fresh breed of things in Anambra State most especially in the areas of power supply and creating job opportunities using agriculture, sports, technology and other business facilities to empower the people including rural dwellers”

Laying more emphasis on platform and the ability of the Foundation to pull out enough vote for its choice candidate to win, the Ezinifite High Chief maintained that Anambra needs a fresh hand and the Foundation is prepared enough to make it a reality hence the commitment to build a massive voting strength with membership in all the polling booths cross the wards in Anambra State adding that Oga Ndi Oga is not just a name but also a force to reckon with in membership.

He demanded for a fair, free and credible election from Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) come November 8 and also demanded for a violent free campaign embedded in selling of ideas and knowledge not name calling and violent attack on opponents from politicians and their supporters noting that there is enough time for INEC to prepare well enough to deliver a good job come November 8 in Anambra State.

While congratulating the winners of the primary election, he advised aspirants who were defeated at the primary election to accept defeat and wait for another time and so doing avoid distracting the eventual winner with unnecessary litigations noting that the primary elections conducted last week by political parties were credible enough compare to past primary elections in the State
