Activate Success International Foundation (ASIF) is set to deepen its impact on youth development in Nigeria through a promising partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). This development follows a recent high-level meeting held in Lagos between ASIF’s Founder, Love Idoko-Uloko, and top UNDP officials.

The meeting brought together Ms. Ahunna Eziakonwa, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Assistant Administrator for Africa at UNDP, alongside the UNDP Resident Representative in Nigeria, Ms. Elsie G. Attafuah. Discussions focused on aligning efforts to strengthen youth empowerment programmes across the country.

In a statement, Idoko-Uloko emphasized the importance of collaboration in shaping future leaders. “Our engagement with the UNDP explored meaningful ways to empower Nigerian youth and support their journey toward leadership and entrepreneurship,” she said.

ASIF has consistently championed youth development, particularly through its robust partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Over the past eight years, its flagship Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Programme (YEEP) has provided training in entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial literacy to millions of young Nigerians.

In addition to training, the foundation has awarded grants and distributed essential business tools, helping to launch countless youth-led ventures and initiatives across the country.

ASIF’s influence also extends to media, with its popular Activating Success TV Show now celebrating a decade on air. The show has served as a motivational platform, sharing stories of resilience, innovation, and success, and inspiring audiences nationwide.

The potential partnership with UNDP promises to amplify ASIF’s mission, creating broader opportunities for Nigerian youth and contributing to sustainable national development.

She said that the discussions highlighted the critical role organizations like ASIF play in nurturing the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.

Idoko-Uloko said “ASIF has been at the forefront of youth empowerment through its longstanding partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

“Over the past eight years, ASIF has engaged millions of Nigerian youth, providing practical training in entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial literacy through its Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Programme (YEEP).

“The foundation has distributed millions of Naira in grants and business support tools, significantly impacting young Nigerians’ lives.

“ASIF’s impact extends beyond its NYSC partnership. The foundation’s Activating Success TV Show, now in its 10th year, has become a national platform for inspiring stories of growth, resilience, and innovation, reaching millions of viewers. This potential partnership with UNDP could further amplify ASIF’s efforts in driving positive change in Nigerian society.”

ASIF is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youths through entrepreneurship, capacity-building, media engagement, and access to opportunities. With a mission to combat poverty, unemployment, and social exclusion, ASIF has developed local, scalable solutions that foster sustainable growth and job creation.

The Founder, Idoko-Uloko, has received notable recognition for her contributions to youth development. In May 2023, she was honored by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with the National Productivity Order of Merit Award (NPOM). Additionally, during the celebration of NYSC at 50, Love Idoko-Uloko and her foundation were recognized for their significant contributions to the NYSC.

She said that the Foundation will continue to collaborate with international partners, as it is committed to empowering the youth of Nigeria and driving positive change in society.
